Tate Street is incredibly fortunate to have teachers whose dedication extends to offering up lunch breaks and every Friday evening in order to coach a group of devoted and enthusiastic basketball players. Thanks to the time and effort put in by Mr Deocampo and Miss Farrant, Tate Street Primary School has 3 teams (the Agitators, Dictators and Mutators) competing in the Geelong Schools’ competition at Try Boys stadium in East Geelong. Lunchtime training ensures that students’ individual skills of catching, passing, dribbling and shooting are improving but, more importantly, students are developing their cooperation skills and teamwork.
